My name is John Bryant and I worked at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC for 40 years as a mechanical designer. In 2006, upon retirement, my wife and I moved to Salisbury, NC.
My involvement with the Singer Featherweight began when my wife decided she just had to have one. After a great deal of searching, we found her one. I quickly realized that there was a need to learn about the machine and to make sure it would work when needed. As we know, we must keep the resident quilter happy. Well, it is like that potato chip - you can't have just one. More and more showed up and they all needed to be taken care of so that they could make that perfect stitch.
We began by selling and servicing machines for our friends and fellow quilters. Now we serve as Vendors at the local quilt guild shows in North Carolina.
